Introduction

India in eighteenth century was a great manufacture as well as a great agricultural country , and
the products of the Indian loom supplied the market of Asia and Europe .

Its unfortunately true that the East India Company and the British parliament , following selfish commercial policy of a hundred year ago , discouraged Indian manufacturers in the early years of British rule in order to encourage the rising manufacturers in England .

This book has been written by Romesh Gosh , Published in two volumes,First volume was published in Year 1903 and Second was in Year 1906. Romesh Gosh was one of the first Civil Servant of India ,he took retirement from Job to go England to evoke Indian Freedom movement in Europe,he worked as a Lecturer there from 1898 till 1903 and then got an offer from Gayakwads of Vadodara Gujarat .
